Fantastic evening out
Visited as a group of 4, Scott was fantastic as a host, really entertaining and made it a great experience. Escape room was lots of fun and a really decent challenge
R.I.P NAPOLEON 😔
First time in an escape room 5*
My first time in a locked escape room, we all loved it so much and Jaime our host guided us when needed. Would definitely do another one.
Nice family outing on a Sunday afternoon.
Great fun, the hour flew by. Thanks to Jamie for looking after us and being a fantastic games master. We’re already thinking of which room to do next.
11th birthday party
We had lots of fun doing the Grand Heist game for my daughter's 11th birthday party! Jamie and Ryan were friendly and helpful!
Well run and good fun
We played The Dig escape room in St Albans and had a great time. The host, Elise, was really friendly and gave just enough clues to nudge us in the right direction without giving too much info. It's doable with only two people and we just managed to escape.
Great family activity
We did the Bunker room and our room guide was Scott.
He was very welcoming and explained everything very clearly.
The room was well set up and the puzzles were fun to complete and Scott was on hand when we needed help.
We competed as a family with two teenagers and it was a very suitable activity for all of us.
The location is easy to find and there is a great variety of rooms to choose from.
Locked Escape Room St Albans Dig
We enjoyed the St Albans Locked Escape Room we choose the Dig
We found it challenging but managed to get out before the time was up
Sabrina was a great host made us welcome and gave a clear briefing. She made sure we were ok and had everything we needed.
An enjoyable activity
Grace made the experience more fun
Fun room with a great host. Loved getting to the last room and so close to finishing it too. Nice mix of puzzles
A fun and atmospheric experience!
We had a great time escaping from The Secret Bunker in Dunstable. Josh gave us a good intro and answered all our pre-escape questions... then into the bunker. The room itself was very atmospheric and nicely recreated the WWII look and feel. There was a good mix of puzzles for adults and the kids (11 and 8) to tackle and a few surprises along the way. Great fun!
Great experience enjoyed by all
Went for a team Christmas event and had two rooms competing against each other. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and Sabrine and Alex did a great job of supporting us through our escape!
If you are nervous or anxious my advice would be to avoid 'The Dig'. The pre warning was subtle!
Enjoyed the Great Train Robbery with Josh
Five of us took on the Great Train Robbery room. Theming/narrative is simple but effective. Puzzles are satisfying and a few are especially innovative. A couple required something that we would never have considered but prompts from our host Josh were well-judged in terms of timing and subtlety; just enough to keep us moving forward. Game design is more than just an escape, ensuring you almost certainly get to keep playing for the full time. Venue itself is bright and clean, with lockers available. Good fun on New Year's Day - thanks Josh!
Great train robbery room
Really fun experience doing the Great Train Robbery room. Host was called Elise, was very good at communicating with us about the room and was very nice. I would do it again if I could!
Great fun
We did the Dig loved all the theming and attention to detail! Game master Sabine was just the right level of helpful and really lovely. On the expensive side for an hours fun but worth it for a treat
Family Christmas Outing
The puzzles were well thought out, our host (Elise) was welcoming and entertaining, and the premises were clean and spacious.
We did the Great Train Robbery room and escaped with seconds to spare with a good amount of money. Elise was great at guiding us when we needed it, whilst allowing us to feel like we still achieved most things ourselves.
Family of five (older teens and parents) all enjoyed… and we’re still speaking to each other.
Brilliant fun
Fantastic experience, 4 girls had a brilliant time and really enjoyed it. Superb fun support from Amalie, thank you!!
Amazing time!
We all had an excellent time here doing our first ever escape room. Sabrine was our games master and we couldn’t have asked for someone better! She helped us when she could see we were struggling, but didn’t give too much away. Thank you so much! And we will definitely be back to do the other rooms soon
Csi
Had a fantastic time still, Elise our was the best, so helpful with out giving away. I took us to the last minute and guessing right to the end
Amazing
Elise was a total superstar our 2nd one here and we loved it !!!!! Can’t beat the rooms here really well themed !
Great fun
Jamie and Ryan were amazing game masters. The great heist was so much. We would definitely come again.
Amazing!!!!
Jamie & Ryan were amazing and the grand heist was so much fun, we nearly escaped! Would definitely come again for a different room! Went with friends but younger sister also enjoyed and is great for all ages!
Chuffing Good
We did the train robbery and it was great. Thoroughly enjoyed the level of challenge - tough but not pull your hair out. Top times!
Lots of fun
Sabrine was a fantastic games host. She times rhe clues just right as we struggled at times! We took dad for his birthday and had lots of fun!
Well worth it
Very good escape room. Well organised and with a nice balance of different puzzles. We'll definitely be back to try some of the other rooms.
Enjoyable test which could have been more demanding than it was
We've visited several escape rooms over the years but this was our first in St Albans. We successfully negotiated Shadow Lair at Locked Escapes in a ridiculously quick time of 34 minutes so we comfortably prevented the total destruction of St Albans. It was not easy, though and we did enjoy it; some of the setups were very interesting and unlike any we've seen before (and we've seen quite a few!) We think one or two hints were given to us a little prematurely by our host, otherwise we'd probably have been closer to our normal outcome, which is escaping during the final 5 minutes of our allotted hour. There are 3 other escape rooms at the location and we hope to revisit one of them, at least, in 2024.
Great family fun
Went with my two teenagers, usually a tough crowd to entertain. It was our 1st escape room and we all had a great time problem solving as a team. Our friendly hosts gave clear instructions at the start, the room was well equipped (everything looked new), the challenge level was perfect, and the story interesting. I would highly recommend. We plan to go again and try the next difficulty level!
